David Wade Harris,
In 1972, as a result of the Local Baptist Church children's church ministry David accepted Christ as Savior. Later, while under the preaching of his Pastor, He felt the call to the ministry.
David and Michele were married in 1982 and soon became active at Boulevard Baptist church in Burleson, Texas, under the ministry of Terry Williams. In 1992 they moved their memberships to Bible Baptist Church in Granbury and served under Roy Blair, the pastor.
They were active in growing Bible Baptist Church and they were also very involved in building the facility. David served as Sunday school teacher, men's adult disciple teacher, teen pastor, Bus minister and music director through out the years. In 2003 he was ordained and served as Associate Pastor and has since earned his Masters in Theology.
Michele has experience in church administration. She taught 2-3 yr old and junior Sunday school classes and lead ladies groups. Michele has organized and taught many different ages and VBS's, as well as youth activities, camp programs, and teen conferences. She has also been instrumental in leading the youth in fund raising projects for camps.
They have three talented daughters. Anna graduated in 2009 and attended College at Westcoast Baptist College in California, she is now married and mother of three and resides in another city of Texas where she is very involved int their home church. Jayme, a graduate of Pensacola Christian College and presently a RN and married, is active in the VBS, children's ministries, and other ministries at church. Tiffany having graduated Golden State Baptist College with a music degree, helps run our online streaming services, and plays the piano here.
In 2008 the family left Granbury, Texas to plant Solid Rock Baptist Church of Rusk. David firmly believes God moved he and his family to here to start this Church. Solid Rock Baptist is a mission work out of First Baptist Meadowview in Mesquite, Texas, Pastor R. D. Wade, and the Red River Valley Baptist Pastors Association.
